How the Gunners got on individually in their Premier League clash with the Blades at the Emirates Stadium

Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff have been putting the finishing touches to Arsenal’s preparations for the Chelsea game with training footage being released.

Whilst several members of the Gunners’ first-team squad – including Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz – began preparations for the game by taking part in a gym session on Friday at London Colney, there was no sign of Bukayo Saka, William Saliba or Leandro Trossard from the ‘Inside Training’ video.

The trio withdrew from international duty because of injury. Now as they’ve all played a key role in Arsenal’s decent start to the season season, it’s understandable that some supporters will be questioning their involvement on Saturday as a result of their absences from this particular piece of training footage.

For the rest of the first-team squad – aside from the injured Jurrien Timber who is a long-term absentee – it was back to work at London Colney almost two weeks removed from the 1-0 win over Manchester City and below is what else football.london spotted from the latest session.

Ben White’s new look

The Arsenal defender was one of seven senior players not selected for international duty. As well as preparing for the return of Premier League football, Ben White has undergone a very noticeable transformation. He’s got a new look having dyed his hair to match the colour of his surname.

It seems the decision has gone down well amongst the squad, although Reiss Nelson did appear to be having some fun at White’s expense. As the pair walked out for training, the winger says: “Get my guy’s new trim” which then prompts the Gunners’ number four to react.
