TRANSFERS UPDATES – Romano claims Liverpool would need to pay ‘crazy’ money to sign 23y/o dribbling wizard

Fabrizio Romano has indicated that a potential Liverpool transfer target may only be sold this summer if an exceptionally high offer is presented to his current club.

The Reds are reportedly considering making a move for Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, who has a release clause in his contract that will not be activated until 2025.

According to Romano, West Ham has not commented on the release clause, but sources confirm its existence.

The activation of the clause is still uncertain, making the situation complex.

Trusted West Ham insider Claret & Hugh has clarified that Kudus’ release clause will not come into effect until July 2025.

This clause typically activates in the third transfer window after a player’s arrival, giving Liverpool a clear idea of the potential cost if they wish to secure Kudus earlier.

With impressive performances in his debut season at West Ham, Kudus has proven his value with 13 goals in 44 appearances.

This, coupled with his high success rate in take-ons, makes it understandable why West Ham would demand a significant fee for his transfer.

The question remains whether Liverpool is indeed prepared to meet West Ham’s demands for the Ghanaian forward.
