Tomiyasu and Jesus miss out but Kiwior and Havertz start – Arsenal predicted XI vs Luton Town takes a look at how the Gunners could line up in their Premier League clash against Luton Town
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus could both miss out on the starting XI as Arsenal take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday
It could hardly have been much better for Arsenal over the weekend. Only Liverpool’s late winner against Fulham took the gloss off of what was a significant boost to their title hopes.
The Gunners sit two points clear at the top of the Premier League and could make it five by the end of their midweek clash with Luton Town. With Manchester City facing a tough trip to Aston Villa after their draw with Tottenham, there a possibility that Mikel Arteta can open up a six point cushion over his old side.
They’ll be heavy favourites, but Liverpool’s struggles at Kenilworth Road earlier this season show that three points can’t be taken for granted. It’s a chance to possibly rotate, but Arteta will know he needs a side strong enough to get the
Goalkeeper – David Raya
Mikel Arteta was very strong on his desire to see Aaron Ramsdale stay in January. It’s hard to see that effecting his choice between the sticks at Luton, though.
Right back – Ben White
Arteta said that Ben White is in perfect condition to start this game. With Tomiyasu a doubt due to a calf problem, expect to see the England international return to the starting XI.

Centre back – William Saliba
Saliba is still the only man to have played every minute in the Premier League for Arsenal this season. It will be a physical test at Kenilworth Road, but he’s shown that he can stand up to those.
Centre back – Gabriel
It was another good display from Gabriel on Saturday even if he was furious at conceding the late goal. He’ll love the physical test that Luton will provide.
Left back – Jakub Kiwior
Arteta is approaching the stage of the season where he’ll have to rotate a little. Oleksandr Zinchenko hasn’t really been a man who can start a game every three days in the past, and with Aston Villa, Brighton and Liverpool on the horizon, this feels like the game to bring Jakub Kiwior in to give the Ukrainian a night off.

Defensive midfield – Declan Rice
One of the few players that Arteta can rely upon for his availability is Declan Rice. Expect the England international to anchor in an attacking Arsenal line up.

Central midfield – Martin Odegaard
The Norwegian looked back to his best against Wolves where he was absolutely everywhere. Now he’s finally pain free Arsenal have a real asset on their hands.

Central midfield – Kai Havertz
Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz
The German was unlucky to be dropped for the match with Luton after two goals in two games. He could be very useful up against a Luton low block.
