Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing 17-year-old prospect Andrija Maksimovic from Red Star Belgrade.

Maksimovic made his senior international debut for Serbia earlier this month, coming off the bench in their 2-0 win over Switzerland in the Nations League. In the process, he became the second-youngest debutant in Serbia’s history behind Andrija Zivkovic, who was only one month younger than Maksimovic when he came off the bench against Japan in 2003.

The midfielder has impressed for Red Star Belgrade, having made 11 appearances for the club so far this season which includes a start against Inter Milan in the Champions League. According to Sky Sports Germany, Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in the teenager.

It is claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are all monitoring his progress. Maksimovic is currently under contract until 2027 and it is claimed it would take a fee of at least €15million (£12.5m) to persuade Red Star Belgrade to sell.
