Liverpool confirm ‘MOMENTOUS’ Saudi Arabia deal as AGREEMENT reached
Liverpool have confirmed a deal that has been described as ‘momentous’ agreement in Saudi Arabia.
In the last few years, Saudi Arabia have become a developing football nation. A lot of money has been invested in the country to improve the infrastructure and status of the game.
At the same time, the Saudi Pro League continues to attract some of the world’s elite stars and its clubs are growing in stature.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia have also been confirmed to host the 2034 World Cup, where the country will aim to go far in the tournament.
Amid these changes, it seems like Liverpool will now also continue to have a growing influence in the developing nation.
Liverpool strikers Saudi Arabia agreement
The club’s international academy has been running for over a decade now in several different parts of the world.
And now the club will be opening its doors in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, after striking an agreement with One World International School to host Liverpool’s international academy in the country.
The school will be one of the host venues for the students of Liverpool’s international academy under the collaboration.
OWIS is part of the prestigious Singapore-based Global Schools Group (GSG), which educates students of over 70 nationalities.
The news was confirmed by ACN News Wire with GSG’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East region describing the agreement as a ‘momentous’ occasion.
“It is a momentous occasion for OWIS Riyadh to join hands with Liverpool FC International Academy Saudi Arabia,” said Mr Amol Vaidya.
“With this academy, we hope to offer a promising opportunity for Riyadh’s talented football community. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to nurturing young talents, helping them follow their passion and excel in life.”
According to the club’s website, Liverpool have several international academies in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.
Liverpool’s international academy in Saudi Arabia was opened in December 2022.
