The Premier League has issued a significant announcement regarding the compliance of all 20 clubs with the Profit and Sustainability Regulations.

Everton and Nottingham Forest have been subjected to FFP penalties, as confirmed by the Premier League.

The clubs were required to submit their financial accounts for the 2022/23 season by December 31, and it was revealed that Everton and Nottingham Forest were at risk of facing sanctions for breaching the profit and sustainability rules.

According to the regulations, teams are permitted losses of up to £105m over a three-year period or £35m per season. The Premier League has now officially charged both Everton, for the second time, with violating these rules.

The severity of adhering to the financial regulations was exemplified by Everton’s previous 10-point deduction for a single breach, which currently places them just one point above the relegation zone. However, Everton has appealed against this punishment.
