Potential Liverpool squad for the upcoming summer without Darwin Nunez or Mohamed Salah under Arne Slot’s management

Arne Slot will not have several key Liverpool players available as he leads his first pre-season training session.

Since Jurgen Klopp revealed his decision to leave his position as Liverpool manager at the end of the season earlier this year, rumors about potential transfers involving the Reds have been circulating more frequently. Players like Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, and Adrian are set to leave as their contracts expire this summer, following Klopp’s departure. However, according to the latest transfer rumors, there could be more players leaving Anfield soon, especially as the club finalizes the appointment of Feyenoord manager Arne Slot as Klopp’s replacement.

Of course, scattered returns to pre-season is nothing new for Liverpool, given their vast number of international players. But with a brand new manager overseeing preparations for the first time since 2012, when Brendan Rodgers infamously first took charge of a mismatch of a squad littered with Academy youngsters and fringe players in front of the ‘Being: Liverpool’ television documentary cameras, it will further complicate Slot’s introduction to the job.
