Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey could be sold this summer

Gilberto Silva has tipped Arsenal to consider a move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro if Thomas Partey leaves the club this summer.

Partey, 30, has been linked with a move away from the Gunners this summer after struggling with injuries and game time last season. In fact, the Ghanaian started just nine Premier League matches and missed around four months of action with hamstring and groin issues.

Reports suggest that Partey has been approached by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) in connection with a move to an unspecified club in the Saudi Pro League. PIF has direct control of the ‘big four’ in Saudi Arabia, which are Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal and Al Nassr.

If Partey, who has one year left on his contract at the Emirates, is sold, then ex-Arsenal midfielder Gilberto has recommended boss Mikel Arteta to try and sign Casemiro from United.
