  1. The early kick-off in the Premier League returns on Saturday, as Manchester City will face Liverpool at Etihad Stadium. Of course, it’s going to be a long 90-minute match between the two sides.

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola don’t usually go easy on each other. They have faced each other 28 times in all competitions in the world of football.

Also, it’s going to be an intense 90 minutes between Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland on Saturday. The two players are the top scorers in the league this season.Liverpool have received some massive boosts ahead of the PL clash. The likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate, and Joe Gomez are back in training with the Reds.

Actually, it’s only one point between Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League table. So the two PL sides will face each other with a high level of winning spirit.

Manchester City pridiction line up

Nevertheless, there’s a particular way Jurgen Klopp could lineup against Pep Guardiola. Even though the Citizens won’t take it easy on them.

In all fairness, it’s definitely going to be a tactical battle between the two managers. However, the Reds gaffer may use the setup below against Manchester City.

Here’s the lineup (4-3-3):
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai; Jota, Nunez, Salah.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to repeat the lineup he used against Brentford before the international break. The 4-3-3 setup is enough to win over the Citizens.

Obviously, Alisson Becker will be on goal against Pep Guardiola’s troops. He usually dazzles impressively against Manchester City, helping the team’s performance.

Of course, Ibrahima Konate has returned to training with the group. However, it’s most unlikely he starts in the Premier League game on Saturday.

As a result, Alexander-Arnold and Tsimikas will play as fullbacks. The two players have been brilliant for Liverpool in all competitions this campaign.

Van Dijk and Joel Matip will play as centre-backs. The two CBs secured a clean sheet against the Bees before the international break.

Therefore, they are capable of keeping the Citizens out of their box in the game. Van Dijk remains the best centre-back in the Premier League so far in 2023-2024.

Mac Allister missed the Brentford game as a result of a suspension. However, he’s expected to start against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.

With that being said, he will occupy the midfield with Endo and Szoboszlai. The 3-man midfield has been working for Liverpool since the beginning of the season.

Despite the fact that Ryan Gravenberch is back to training. The Dutchman is expected to start from the bench against the Citizens in the match.

Finally on the frontline, Gakpo may start from the bench against Manchester City. So Klopp will continue with his usual front-three on Saturday.

Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah will occupy both flanks. Darwin Nunez will play as No.9, the Uruguayan is currently on fire considering his goal-scoring form.

The front-three is capable of frustrating Pep Guardiola’s troops at the back. Regardless, Jurgen Klopp would definitely want to win over the Citizens.
