Premier League chief Richard Masters has confirmed that a specific date has been scheduled for the hearing regarding Manchester City’s alleged breaches of financial rules.

The charges against City, which were announced in February, include accusations of providing incorrect financial information and failing to cooperate with the investigation.

If found guilty, City could face various sanctions, such as a points deduction or even expulsion from the top division.

In response to the charges, City released a statement denying any wrongdoing and expressing their intention to vigorously defend themselves.

While information about the case has been limited, Masters revealed during a Select Committee hearing that a date has now been set for the club’s hearing.

However, he was unable to disclose the exact date. Masters also addressed fan frustrations regarding the slower process involving City compared to new charges against Everton and Nottingham Forest, emphasizing that the charges against City are different in nature and are being heard in a distinct context.

He assured that progress is being made and a date has been set for the proceeding, although he couldn’t provide further details. Masters also briefly mentioned
