Liverpool is reportedly eyeing up last-minute swoops for Goncalo Inacio and Ademola Lookman

Liverpool has just over a week to make some additions to Arne Slot’s squad this summer as transfer deadline day draws ever nearer.

It’s been more than two months since the transfer window opened and Liverpool remains the only Premier League side not to sign a single player this summer, leading to plenty of frustration across the red half of Merseyside.

stalwart on numerous occasions in recent years but perhaps not to quite this extent, with Hughes said to be readying a “concrete” approach for the 22-year-old in a last minute swoop before the month is out.

That’s according to Caught Offside, which states that while an exact figure for the offer is currently unknown, Sporting is believed to want at least $50.2million (£38.3m/€45m) for its academy graduate to even consider a sale this summer.

However, Spanish outlet Fichajes has claimed that the club is eager to bring the Nigerian international back to England following his stellar performances in Serie A and are even preparing a bid for the Atalanta forward as they aim to strengthen their attack.

It’s added that Slot himself is keen on the versatile 26-year-old, although the Dutchman will have to fend off interest from fellow Premier League manager Mikel Arteta as the Spaniard also considers bringing him to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the month.
