first January signing, Liverpool make contact for record-breaking transfer; selling club and star’s agent both approve deal.

Liverpool have made initial contact for a groundbreaking transfer deal to secure the services of Genk’s attacking midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss.

 

The selling club and the player’s agent have both given their approval for the deal. Liverpool, who have been relatively quiet in the transfer market this month

 

seem to be focusing on strengthening their midfield options for the future.

The 19-year-old El Khannouss, who is already a regular starter for Genk and a Morocco international, has attracted interest from other top clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool scouts have been closely monitoring his progress, and there is a strong possibility of a major transfer happening at the end of the season.

 

Genk’s director, Dimitri De Conde, has expressed his desire for the club to receive a record fee for El Khannouss.
