According to Turkish news outlet Ajanspor, Liverpool have ramped up their interest in Yilmaz in recent days. It has been claimed that the Reds have already submitted an offer to Galatasaray in an effort to sign Yilmaz.

The report claims that Liverpool have made a bid worth €30 million (£25 million) to the Super Lig club in recent days.

It has not been suggested if Galatasaray will accept the offer from Liverpool. The 24-year-old has also been linked with other Premier League clubs including Arsenal in recent weeks.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams. The 22-year-old recently helped Spain win Euro 2024 and scored against England in last week’s final.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, Liverpool are among a host of clubs that remain in the running to sign Williams. Barcelona are frequently mentioned as being the frontrunners to sign Williams, while Arsenal have also been reported as potential suitors.

The report states that despite Barcelona wanting to sign Williams, they will not engage in a bidding war with other interested clubs, at which point Liverpool are mentioned. The player is reported to have a release clause worth €58 million (£49 million) in his contract with Bilbao.
