Joel Matip will alternative Leny Yoro: Who is he? Real Madrid and Liverpool are the top-ranked “transfer target,” valued at $98 million.

Leny Yoro, a center-back for Lille, is reportedly attracting interest from teams including PSG, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.

What is known about the 18-year-old wonderkid is as follows. Leny Yoro, centre back for Lille.

As Jarell Quansah has demonstrated this season, strengthening the centre of defence seems to be Arne Slot’s top focus during his first transfer

There is ample documentation regarding Ibrahima Konaté’s injury problems, and Virgil van Dijk is not getting any younger.

In light of this, it is said by the French publication L’Equipe that Liverpool and Real Madrid are eager to capture Lille youngster Leny Yoro this summer.

The eighteen-year-old, whose contract with the Ligue 1 team expires in just a year, is reportedly ‘behind’ in the race, but PSG is reportedly interested as well.

What do we currently know about Yoro? At the age of sixteen, he made his senior debut with Lille, and during the past two seasons, he has been a consistent player.

The French team believes he is worth roughly $98 million (£77 million/€90 million) as a player, but they also realise that they won’t be able to obtain that much money for him due to his existing contract.

Yoro has made 44 senior appearances this season.

He has been a mainstay in France’s youth systems, despite not having played for them at the senior level yet.

Being one of the best young defenders available, Lille has already taken steps to get supporters ready for his departure.

“In my opinion, the players possess quality rather than age,” Lille manager Paulo Fonseca stated to BBC Sport in April. “We find a way to help the young players develop because we are unable to get really expensive players here.

I think Leny [Yoro] will be at one of the top clubs in Europe within the following year. At 16, he began working with us here. Though incredibly disciplined, he has high ambitions. Though he has matured greatly, he is still a young man of great quality. He wants to study every day and is extremely focused and committed. I am confident that he will be among the top central defenders in modern football.”
