Press conference Injury and availability news: Updates on Federico Chiesa, Harvey Elliott and Alexis Mac Allister

Arne Slot provided updates on the fitness of Federico Chiesa, Harvey Elliott and Alexis Mac Allister during Friday morning’s pre-match press conference.

Liverpool’s head coach addressed the media at the AXA Training Centre ahead of his team’s Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Slot was asked about the possibility of Chiesa debuting against Forest, Elliott’s injury status after the international break and whether Mac Allister will be ready for the weekend game at Anfield.

Meanwhile, the Dutchman also confirmed that every other member of his squad is available to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Chiesa

Federico has trained with the team now three or four times so let’s see how he does today and which decision I make because we have more than 20 players, for if I choose for a position or if I choose the ones that are the fittest at the moment.

But now he isn’t [fit] and that also gives the chance to someone else. He didn’t stay fit unfortunately so he is out for a longer time.

Mac Allister
