PRESS CONFERENCE – Conor Bradley: I just feel like I’m in a dream!
Conor Bradley reflected on a ‘dream’ of a night after netting his first Liverpool goal in the Reds’ win over Chelsea at Anfield.
The 20-year-old produced a superb first-half strike as Jürgen Klopp’s side maintained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with an excellent 4-1 victory on Wednesday night.
Bradley also finished the game with two assists, creating for Diogo Jota and Dominik Szoboszlai, and received a standing ovation when he was withdrawn in the second half.
And afterwards, the youngster beamed as he spoke to TNT Sports about his perfect evening.

“It’s a very proud moment obviously,” Bradley said of his first Liverpool goal. “It’s something I’ve dreamed of for a long time.
“I just feel like I’m in a dream. It’s unbelievable. I’m very happy!”
He added: “I just couldn’t believe it went in. I just thought, ‘I’m going to hit it here’ and it went in the bottom corner.
“I didn’t know what to do, I just went into the corner and did a knee slide. It was brilliant!”
Szoboszlai, who scored the Reds’ third goal on the night with a close-range header from Bradley’s excellent cross, also paid tribute to his young colleague.
“He was really good,” said the Hungarian. “A goal, two assists, you couldn’t wish for a better day. We are very happy to have him and now he can continue.
“I have to thank him for [my goal]. I didn’t have to do too much because [the ball] just came to my head. Probably my first header in my life but hopefully more will come!”
Bradley was making only his second Premier League appearance, and his first at Anfield, but delivered a performance that even Trent Alexander-Arnold, who replaced him in minute 68, would have been proud of.
The youngster now has five assists and a goal in his last four appearances in all competitions – a run of form he is rightly proud of.
“It’s been brilliant,” he said. “It’s unfortunate the way Trent got injured but that’s what happens in football and I’ve just got to try and take my chance.
“Over the last couple of games I feel like I’ve done pretty well, so I just want to keep up this form and keep working hard.”
A smiling Szoboszlai added: “Trent should take care of his position! No, we need everybody [because] we have a lot of games.
“Trent got injured, unlucky, but we had [Bradley] and he did very well. Hopefully nobody gets injured anymore and then we can switch up.”
