The emergence of Kylian Mbappe’s ‘demands’ in Liverpool’s transfer news has sparked excitement among fans

who consider him a dream signing for the club.

Liverpool will have to completely shatter their current wage structure if they are to land Kylian Mbappe’s signature this summer.

The French forward looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer when his contract expires in June, with Real Madrid and Liverpool the leading candidates to sign him.

Liverpool’s chances of convincing Mbappe to move to Anfield look slim given owners Fenway Sports Group stick to a tight budget. While Mbappe would come without a transfer fee, his wages are seemingly out of Liverpool’s price bracket.

Reds agree exit

Liverpool youth striker Paul Glatzel is poised to bring his 13-year spell with the club to an end.

Glatzel, 21, is on the verge of a permanent move to Swindon Town, reports the Echo, after spending the last two injury-ridden seasons on loan at Tranmere Rovers.

Former Liverpool youngsters Jake Cain and Tom Clayton are both playing at Swindon already. But Liverpool won’t receive a huge fee for Glatzel’s services, given he is into the final six months of his deal.
