Dani Olmos has effectively sent a come and get me message to Arsenal by telling interested clubs: ‘You know what you have to do.’

The Red Bull Leipzig midfielder is currently on international duty and is preparing for the Euro 2024 final with Spain. He and his team take on England in Berlin on Sunday night as the Three Lions look to win the competition for the first time.

Olmo has caught eyes with his performances during the tournament, prompting talk over his future. He is reported to have a €60 million (£50.4m) release clause in his contract, with the clause valid until July 20.

Arsenal are one of the clubs credited with an interest over the summer. It has been claimed that while Chelsea have been watching the midfielder, they are unlikely to trigger his release clause, in what could be a big boost to the Gunners’ hopes of completing a deal.

Speaking earlier this week, Olmo said that his full concentration was on the Euros but hinted that he would be open to a move this summer. “I am calm and focused on what is coming, which is the Euro, which is no small thing,” he said.

“It is clear that it is good to see your name related to great teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I am focused on the Euro, and I hope we can return with the trophy.
