Arsenal player ratings 2—2 Chelsea Zinchenko, Raya and Odegaard poor but Rice, Trossard leads dramatic fightback
How the Gunners got on individually in their Premier League clash with the Blues at Stamford Bridge

David Raya: Caught off his line for the Mudryk goal although hard to be too critical for that. You certainly can be more critical of his playing from the back though. Lucky not to gift Palmer a goal and struggled to inspire confidence after that. 5.
Ben White: Caught a little out of position for Mudryk’s goal. Had been doing a decent job defending, but couldn’t offer Saka as much support as usual going forward, but did so crucially to allow his England teammate the chance to put in the cross for the equaliser. 6.
William Saliba: Very unfortunate to see the penalty given against him when there was little he could do to get his hand out of the way. Was exposed often after that when Chelsea looked to counter and didn’t always stand up to that as well as he normally does. 5.
Gabriel: Decent enough at the back, but was caught out in the build up to Jackson’s chance. A few decent chances offensively that weren’t taken. 5.
Oleksandr Zinchenko: A really poor afternoon for the Ukrainian. Struggled to win his one-vs-one duels with Raheem Sterling as Chelsea threatened time and again down the right. Offered very little on the ball to offset this. 4.
Jorginho: Couldn’t help Arsenal establish control of the midfield as he was marked out of the game by Conor Gallagher. When he did get time on the ball his passing was decent, but it was too few and far between. 5.

Declan Rice: Again stepped up in a big game. When in a more advanced role he was one of the few getting forward into the box in a poor first half from Arsenal. Then provided an excellent finish after Robert Sanchez’s misplaced pass to get Arsenal back in the game. 7.
Martin Odegaard: A bad day at the office for the Norwegian who struggled to ever really got on the ball. On the rare occasions that he did there was a distinct lack of quality. 5
Bukayo Saka: Had been very quiet for almost the entirety of the game as he struggled to get the better of Cucurella. But then popped up with a world class cross to set up Trossard’s goal. This is what the best players do. 6.
Gabriel Jesus: Ran himself into the ground up front and made good movements that deserved better service. One near post effort was as close as Arsenal came in the first half. 6.
Gabriel Martinelli: Barely saw the ball in the first half. Got it far more often in the second but his ability on his left foot when running to the by-line was found wanting. 5.
SUBSTITUTES –
Takehiro Tomiyasu: Stopped the Chelsea supply line down the right with some diligent one-vs-one defending. Offered a good threat in the air from set pieces as well. 7.
Emile Smith Rowe: Won a few of his individual duels which will have pleased Mikel Arteta. A few bits of link up play to help Arsenal get the ball forward. 6.
Eddie Nketiah: Went very close with one really good shot that he had no right to make under pressure from Thiago Silva. Some good link up play in the middle of the pitch. A good cameo. 7.
Leandro Trossard: Popped up with a crucial equaliser at the back post after drifting away from Gusto. The Chelsea fullback struggled to deal with his throughout his time on the pitch. 7.
Kai Havertz: Booed on to the pitch at his former club and responded with a decent display. Some nice touches and decent composure on the ball in the build up to the equaliser. 6.
