Arsenal will be hoping to pick up a considerable amount of points in their next five Premier League games
Arsenal have kicked off their busy December schedule with a victory over Wolves in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners must play a further seven games in the final month of 2024 with tough matches away to Liverpool and Aston Villa on the horizon along with a home clash against one of the only teams to beat Arsenal in the league in north London last season.
The victory on Saturday afternoon saw Arsenal open up a four-point gap over Manchester City and Liverpool before they take on Tottenham and Fulham this afternoon, respectively. Mikel Arteta’s side have already played a number of top six teams with their fixture run-in up until the end of the year opening up the chance to put a substantial number of points on the board.
Meanwhile, Man City are in the midst of a challenging set of games as evidenced by their recent draws against Chelsea and Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s side meanwhile will be aiming to pick up maximum points from their next three games against Fulham, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
With that said, here is a look at Arsenal’s next five fixtures compared to their Premier League title rivals.

Luton Town (A) – December 5
Despite being massive underdogs, Luton should not be underestimated especially at Kenilworth Road with Arsenal as the visitors next week. The Hatters lost to Brentford on Saturday but picking points up against Liverpool and Crystal Palace at home shows they can compete in the Premier League.
Aston Villa (A) – December 9
Another away game follows for Arsenal with a huge challenge against Aston Villa on the horizon. Former Gunners boss Unai Emery is the manager at Villa Park and he will be aiming to keep Villa’s superb unbeaten streak on home soil intact.
Brighton (H) – December 17
Another tough game for the Gunners. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have suffered a few blips this season but Brighton remain a strong outfit who could challenge for a Champions League qualification place.
Liverpool (A) – December 23
Arsenal then take on title rivals Liverpool at Anfield, a ground that the Gunners haven’t secured all three points in the Premier League since back in 2012. Last season, they went 2-0 up on Merseyside before the hosts fought back, with the score ending 2-2.
West Ham (H) – December 28
Arsenal face a London derby in between Christmas and New year with West Ham as the visitors to Emirates Stadium. Declan Rice made the switch between the two clubs earlier this year and the Gunners will certainly be aiming to avenge their Carabao Cup exit at the hands of David Moyes’ side.
