Atalanta 0-0 Arsenal
- FULL TIME! Atalanta 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal join Man City in a goalless stalemate against an Italian team in their Champions League opener.
A tough night for the Gunners, who were reliant on the superb double save from David Raya from Mateo Retegui’s penalty.
It could have gone either way, with Bukayo Saka going close from a first half free-kick while Gabriel Martinelli missed a golden one-on-one late on. Juan Cuadrado also went close a couple of times for Atalanta.
But up next for Arsenal, it’s a big away trip to Man City on Sunday. A good result and two dropped points tonight will be forgotten for sure.
