Diaz OUT and Nunez STARTS – Liverpool’s predicted lineup vs Bournemouth
Liverpool vs AFC Bournemouth: Match Preview, Team News and More
Liverpool are back in Premier League action this weekend against Bournemouth and here’s our predicted lineup for the fixture.
The Reds have started the campaign fairly well, with Arne Slot’s men winning their first three games comfortably without conceding a goal.
However, last week was a shot in the foot as Nottingham Forest took all 3 points at Anfield.

The Reds will want to forget that result with a win on Saturday. Here is how we think Arne Slot will line up the team against the Cherries.
Jota and Diaz out, Gakpo and Nunez in?
It is safe to say that minimal changes will occur to both Liverpool’s defence and midfield.
Kostas Tsimikas started the game against AC Milan on Tuesday and was at fault for giving away the early goal that put the Reds 1-0 down. However, he did improve throughout picking up an assist on the way.
But, Kostas’ inclusion was probably to give Andy Robertson some rest ahead of the game against Andoni Iraola’s men, so we should expect to see him back in the starting line-up.
The midfield trio has really clicked recently. Each individual compliments the other superbly, and the meteoric rise of Ryan Gravenberch so far this season has been a breath of fresh air for both the fans and players.
The big changes will be to the attacking line.
Cody Gakpo’s performance against Milan was nothing short of outstanding. The Dutch forward was given his first start this season and he didn’t disappoint. This was a chance to show Slot that he deserves to be a regular in the first eleven and he didn’t squander his opportunity.
Constantly driving forward and looking electric, Gakpo grabbed an assist capping off a fine performance. A natural left-winger, Slot utilised him in his favoured position and he thrived on the San Siro turf.
Luis Diaz has been performing very well for the Reds this season, but maybe it’s time for Cody to be rewarded for his endeavours.
Moreover, a change in the solo striker position may be necessary. Diogo Jota hasn’t been in blistering form recently. He needs to be more clinical, especially after missing a sitter against Milan in the first half.
Could it possibly be time for Darwin Nunez to start? He has been neglected recently by Slot, not starting any competitive games so far this season. His performances off the bench haven’t been ground-breaking, but Slot may think that now is the time to prove himself.
Predicted line up vs Bournemouth:
(4-2-3-1): Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Gakpo, Nunez
