Jamal Musiala has reputedly rejected a new contract offer from Bayern Munich

Liverpool tasted defeat for the first time this season on Saturday as they fell to Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Arne Slot’s side lost their unbeaten start to the campaign courtesy of a second-half strike from former Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi, the first goal they have conceded this term.

They remain second in the Premier League table but are three points behind Manchester City, who came from behind to beat Brentford in their match this weekend. Arsenal and Newcastle United could also leapfrog them in the standings with wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, respectively.

Liverpool on Musiala transfer alert over £120m move after offer ‘rejected’

Jamal Musiala has reportedly rejected the latest contract offer from Bayern Munich to stay at the German giants. Liverpool are reputedly keen on the former Chelsea academy player but seemingly face competition from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Musiala, 21, is in the final two years of his contract and last renewed his deal with the club in 2021, soon after breaking into their first team. Since then, the attacking midfielder has established himself as one of the best players in the Bundesliga.

That form translated to the European Championship with Germany this summer. Musiala finished it in the team of the tournament and as the joint top goalscorer despite the hosts not progressing past the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, the transfer window may have shut, but that hasn’t stopped the Reds from being linked with future deals. Among those linked is Jamal Musiala, with an update emerging on the Bayern Munich star who has reputedly rejected a contract offer from Bayern Munich. Mohamed Salah’s international teammate Omar Marmoush also reportedly wants a Premier League move after attracting interest from the Reds this summer.
