Mohamed Salah has revealed that Liverpool have not yet approached him regarding a new contract. After setting up two goals and scoring one of his own in Sunday’s 3-0 humbling of Manchester United, the Egyptian indicated that this season could be his last for the Reds with his deal due to expire next summer.

“I had a good summer. I had a long time to stay with myself and think positive, as you know it’s my last year in the club,” he told Sky Sports.

Salah has been Liverpool’s top scorer for the past seven seasons and has already bagged three goals and assists apiece in his opening three games of the campaign. After subdued form following a hamstring injury last term, the winger looks back to top tilt and questions around his future now burn brighter.
