Liverpool will reportedly have the opportunity to discuss terms with Trent Alexander-Arnold before his contract expires at the end of the season. The England international, along with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, will be available to leave Anfield on a free if they do not agree to new terms before the season ends.

Real Madrid have previously been linked with the defender, as it was reported the La Liga giants held an ‘appreciation’ for the right-back. Alexander-Arnold’s friendship with Jude Bellingham has also been a point of concern for some supporters who feel the ex-Birmingham City midfielder may choose to encourage his mate to switch Merseyside for the Spanish

However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, via Caught Offside, the Reds do not need to worry about Alexander-Arnold leaving at this stage. It is understood Arne Slot will be given the opportunity to negotiate terms with the full-back and keep him at the club

As for Los Blancos’ interest, while the appreciation is still thought to be there, Carlo Ancelotti’s team do not intend to act on that yet. Elsewhere, Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains on Liverpool’s radar according

But, with Victor Osimhen wanting out of the Serie A club this summer, the Georgian is unlikely to be allowed to leave. Instead, the Reds are likely to be hit with a £100m asking price by Antonio Conte’s side as their masterplan is revealed.

It is understood the Naples club will choose to adopt the same approach as with Osimhen’s and persuade Kvaratskhelia to sign a new deal with the club. This new contract would include a release clause that is not in his contract at the moment.

Once added, the clause is expected to be valued at approximately £100m which could prevent Liverpool from approaching Napoli for a deal.
