Liverpool vs Brentford team news
Slot has no injury concerns ahead of his first game at Anfield, with a full-strength side to choose from. The Reds boss is unlikely to make major changes from the side that won at Ipswich last weekend.
However, defender Jarell Quansah may drop out of the side, having been taken off at half-time at Portman Road. Ibrahima Konate replaced him at the weekend and he’s expected to be handed a start.
Predicted Liverpool vs Brentford starting line-ups
Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota. Brentford (4-3-3): Flekken; Roerslev, Collins, Pinnock, Ajer; Norgaard, Janelt, Jensen; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade.
Brentford are set to be without four players for Sunday’s trip, with Josh DaSilva, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey and Igor Thiago are all ruled out. The former Liverpool duo of Carvalho and Van den Berg could be in line to feature.
Ivan Toney was left out of Brentford’s opening game against Palace as the striker pushed for a summer move. While he has yet to finalise a move away, he’s not expected to feature in this trip.
