HUGE DEAL : Surprise Jarrad Branthwaite to Liverpool transfer links emerge with odds slashed

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with a move to Liverpool following Manchester United’s failed pursuit as the Blues stand firm on their
Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite could be on the move, with Sky Bet surprisingly slashing odds on a potential transfer to Liverpool. The Toffees have already turned down two offers from Manchester United for the defender this summer.

Branthwaite was a beacon of hope in an otherwise dismal 2023/24 season at Goodison Park, returning from a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven to start 35 out of a possible 38 Premier League games.
The 22-year-old’s standout performances earned him a spot in England’s provisional squad for the European Championships under Sean Dyche. However, he was one of several high-profile players, including Jack Grealish of Manchester City and James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur, left out of Gareth Southgate’s final selection for the Three Lions.

<span;>Despite not making the cut, Branthwaite remained in the spotlight over the summer as Manchester United, in their first transfer window under INEOS, made two unsuccessful bids that fell short of Everton’s asking price. Now, Sky Bet has reduced the odds on Branthwaite leaving Goodison Park this summer. He is currently priced as low as 2/1 to make a surprise switch to city rivals Liverpool, reports the Liverpool Echo.

United are 3/1 to sign the defender, while Manchester City (4/1) and Real Madrid (12/1) are other potential destinations priced up by Sky for the England international. While there are no solid reports tying Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, whose contract runs until 2027, to Liverpool, it’s important to remember bookies often slash odds when bet volumes rise, to manage the market’s profitability
Jurgen Klopp’s pre-match praise of Branthwaite last season was noteworthy, signaling potential interest not only from Liverpool but from other clubs like Manchester United.

[Everton’s] last line [is] super-experienced, and with Branthwaite now a really good left-footed centre-half,” he said, Already giving his seal of approval.

Liverpool.com says: It would likely take some bid for Everton to give up their prized possession to us bitter rivals. United was twice turned down with Everton expected to hold out for at least $90 million. It would be hard to imagine Everton selling Branthwaite to Liverpool for anything less than double that amount.

But the odds change is intriguing and if, IF, if it did happen, it would be some signing. A brilliant center-back for the future, of that there is no doubt, and forever a one-up on Everton.
