Liverpool are interested in signing Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves as they continue their search for a signing in the summer transfer window.

Could make move for left-back Ait-Nouri

The Reds have already held talks with Wolves over a possible deal for the Algeria international, according to journalist David Lynch, as the Merseyside club are on the hunt for a new left-back to provide competition for Andy Robertson.

The Anfield team are still looking to bring in their first signing under new manager Arne Slot. They appeared close to signing Martin Zubimendi but talks with the Real Sociedad star broke down after he was told he would have to trigger his own release clause.

Liverpool are still eager to bring in a new central midfielder, but it appears they have first turned their attention to reinforcing another area of the team with their focus on Ait-Nouri. The 23-year-old still has two years left on his contact and remains a vital player for Wolves, scoring twice in 33 Premier League matches last term

Liverpool still have two weeks left to bring in their first signing of the summer but Slot will have to use the players already at his disposal when he kicks off his era with a game against Ipswich on Saturday.
