Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Reds have registered an interest in signing the 23-year-old this summer after he enjoyed an impressive season in Serie A last term.

The report states that Liverpool are joined by Aston Villa in making an attempt to sign Frendrup in recent weeks. It was claimed that the Reds had submitted an offer worth €25 million (£21 million) to Genoa in an attempt to tie up a deal.

Whilst not stating whether or not the bid was accepted, the report claims that Frendrup is considered “unsellable” by Genoa this summer. The article even goes so far as to say the Serie A club are looking to sign a midfielder of their own to partner Frendrup in the team.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz. According to Turkish news outlet Fotomac, the Reds are willing to make an offer worth €30 million (£25 million) to sign Yilmaz this summer.
