Liverpool reportedly want a fee of €55m for Virgil van Dijk this summer – with the defender a target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League. According to a report, the Reds were approached by the PIF and the first request made – in terms of offer – to evaluate Virgil’s possible farewell was around €55 million (£46.3m).

However, the report figure is currently considered too high by the Saudi negotiator, who has made it known that they want to take a few days to internally evaluate their possible next actions. Meanwhile, Goncalo Inacio has reportedly become Liverpool’s number one target priority this summer.

That’s according to a report in Portugal, which claims that Sporting is not closing the door on a possible deal and, while initially considering a €60m clause, they now agreed to start talks for around €45m. Meanwhile, Turkish international Baris Alper Yilmaz has been spotted in the UK.

The Galatasaray midfielder/winger posted a photograph to Instagram which appeared to show him wandering the streets of London with a wide smile on his face – the snap was promptly deleted soon after. As well as being linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, the Turkey star has also been linked with Arsenal.

Inacio a transfer ‘priority’ this summer

Liverpool have reportedly identified Sporting Clube de Portugal defender Goncalo Inacio as a transfer ‘priority’ this summer.

That’s according to Correio da Manha, who are reporting that despite not initially not being willing to sell below £51m (€60m), Sporting have agreed to begin talks over a deal at £38m (€45m).

The defender featured for Portugal at Euro 2024 and has long been linked with a move to Anfield.

Goncalo Inacio has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool.

Kvaratskhelia ‘makes’ Napoli decision

Napoli and Georgia star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has reportedly performed a transfer U-turn amid links with a move to Liverpool.

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Kvaratskhelia has decided to repay his trust shown by the Italian giants and is now willing to sign a new long-term contract with the club.

The report goes on to cliam that the winger is return to pre-season training next week, and internal talks of a new contract, worth €5m per season, are said to be underway.

An extension of his current stay in Naples would see him be under contract until 2029.

Yilmaz ‘bid’ after being spotted

Baris Alper Yilmaz has been spotted in the UK as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

The Galatasaray star posted a photograph to Instagram which appeared to show him wandering the streets of London with a wide smile on his face – the snap was promptly deleted soon after.

Yilmaz impressed during UEFA Euro 2024 where he played five matches and as well as being linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been mentioned as possible destinations this summer.

Meanwhile, Turkish newspaper Ajanspor has claimed that Liverpool have ramped up their interest in Yilmaz – and submitted a bid of £25 million.

Williams sent Barcelona message

Nico Williams has been sent several messages from Barcelona players amid transfer links with Liverpool.

The Reds have been credited with an interest in the Athletic Bilbao star in recent weeks.

Williams starred for Spain at Euro 2024 and helped guide his country to victory in the final against England last week, where he scored the opening goal in Berlin.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old thanks to his performances at the tournament, while Arsenal have also been mentioned as a potential destination.

United ‘getting closer’ to Rabiot deal

According to French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, Manchester United are ‘getting closer’ to agreeing a deal for Adrien Rabiot.

The France international is available on a free transfer after rejecting fresh terms at Juventus. Rabiot is subject of interest from several clubs and it appeared that Liverpool were leading the race after holding talks with the player’s entourage.

However, United are thought to have emerged as front runners with Collet-Gaudin revealing that talks with United progressed more positively.
