Xabi Alonso has reportedly reached a ‘total agreement’ to leave Bayer Leverkusen
Liverpool and Bayern Munich ready for his signature.
The Reds are in search of a new manager following Jurgen Klopp’s announcement of his departure from the club.
Liverpool is said to be the favorite to secure Alonso as their new boss, although Bayern Munich is also keen on acquiring the Spaniard.
In case a deal for Alonso falls through, Liverpool has lined up alternatives such as Ruben Amorim and Julian Nagelsmann.
Meanwhile, Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is also being considered by Liverpool as a potential candidate. Italian side Napoli is also interested in De Zerbi, with Liverpool being the team to watch out for in the race to secure his services.
