Liverpool are currently at the top of the Premier League table and are in need of reinforcements to maintain their position and secure the title. Despite having the best defensive record in the league, they are in desperate need of strengthening their left back position.

Andy Robertson, their first choice left back, has been out with a dislocated shoulder for some time, and their second choice, Kostas Tsimikas, recently fractured his collarbone, leaving them short in that position.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is looking to sign Antonee Robinson, the US international and Fulham star, to address this issue. The Reds have reportedly contacted Fulham to discuss the possibility of signing the 26-year-old defender in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Although Robinson recently signed a new deal with Fulham, it is believed that he is willing to make a move to Liverpool. The Reds are said to be working on sealing a deal with Fulham to bring Robinson to Anfield next month.

Robinson has started 20 games for Fulham this season and has provided 4 assists under the guidance of manager Marco Silva.

Currently, Joe Gomez, a natural center back, has been filling in at left back in the absence of Robertson and Tsimikas. While he has performed well in recent matches, his injury record is a concern, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp needs to strengthen the left back position at Anfield.

The question remains whether Liverpool should spend the money to sign Antonee Robinson in January.
