Consequently, Jurgen Klopp has been compelled to accelerate his plans for finding a suitable replacement. Lacroix and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi have emerged as potential targets for Liverpool. Lacroix, who joined Wolfsburg from Sochaux in 2020, still has 18 months remaining on his contract. This could prompt the Bundesliga club to demand a fee of £30 million for the 6ft 3in defender.
