Liverpool secured its safe passage through to the knockout stages of the Europa League with a comprehensive 4-0 win over LASK last night. It made sure of top spot to boot thanks to Toulouse’s draw with Union SG.

Luis Díaz’s goal, a brace from Cody Gakpo and a Mohamed Salah penalty earned a fourth win in five games for Jürgen Klopp’s side. The competition’s favorites are surely living up to that billing.

All focus will now shift to the weekend fixture against Fulham at Anfield, and the club’s attempts to keep the pressure on Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table. Pep Guardiola’s men will play Spurs later on Sunday, so Klopp will have a chance to at least briefly go ahead, while Arsenal hosts Wolves tomorrow.

Liverpool will have to cope without the presence of influential goalkeeper Alisson, with the Brazilian out for a couple of weeks after picking up an injury in the 1-1 draw with Man City last weekend. Klopp will also be without the services of Diogo Jota, with the forward also picking up a knock in the same game, which looks to be slightly more serious.

Aside from those recent incidents, Liverpool has been relatively fortunate with injuries so far this season. Klopp has a mostly full-strength squad at his disposal.

In goal, Irishman Caoimhín Kelleher is set to deputize for Alisson. Kelleher will likely be supported by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joël Matip and Kostas Tsimikas in defense, with the quartet looking established at this moment in time — with Andy Robertson a long-term absentee.
