Klopp revealed at the start of November that he expected the Spaniard to be absent for the remainder of 2023. Asked for an update on Thiago ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Fulham at Anfield on Sunday, the Liverpool manager said: “Nothing changed. We said that needs time and we will give him that time. Jurgen Klopp is thrilled to have one of his injured players back in training and is impressed with their performance.

Kaide Gordon, who has been out with a long injury spell, has returned and is looking fantastic during training sessions. Although he hasn’t played for the first-team since February 2022, his presence on the bench for the last two Europa League games indicates that a full return is imminent. Klopp’s commitment to giving opportunities to all players in his squad is evident, and the return of an injured player only adds to his enthusiasm.
