Through the first 20 minutes, it seemed Arsenal were en route to another home romp, up 2-0 on Wolves and flying on the heels of their 6-0 demolition of Lens midweek in the Champions League.

Yet as they have multiple times this season, Gary O’Neil’s group refused to back down from a top-tier Premier League challenge, building themselves back into the match and making things tense down the stretch.

Ultimately, however, it wasn’t enough to overcome the early strikes from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, as Arsenal secured all three points on a 2-1 victory to remain atop the Premier League table. Matheus Cunha’s 86th minute goal made the final minutes tense, but Wolves were unable to snag another top-seven scalp.
