Transfer Update: Arsenal has made the decision to secure the services of a 28-year-old goalkeeper by paying a transfer fee of £27 million.

Without much doubts, Arsenal football club will most definitely remain keen on challenging the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur for the Premier League trophy this season.

The North London club have enjoyed a very interesting start to the 2023/2024 football season so far and are currently occupying the 3rd position on the Premier League table under manager Mikel Arteta.

Do remember that the Gunners strengthened their squad during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and also sealed a loan move for David Raya from Brentford.

David Raya has been impressive since he secured a loan move from Brentford last summer and if reports are anything to go by, then Arsenal football club are willing to sign him on a permanent deal.

The 28-year-old Spain International, who joined Brentford football club after departing Blackburn back in 2019 has been an important member of the first-team squad since he made the move.

The experienced goalkeeper was sent out on loan to Arsenal football club where he has impressed so far this season, making a total of 12 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side.

His excellent performances between the sticks is believed to have impressed the Arsenal board and according to reports from popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his verified Twitter page, the Gunners have decided to sign him on a permanent deal.

The reports further claimed that Arsenal football club are really keen on sealing a permanent deal for the goalkeeper David Raya and are set to pay the buy-out clause of £27million to Brentford.

It is believed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta views the experienced shot-stopper as an indispensable member of his team and he has urged the club to sign David Raya on a permanent deal.

That said, David Raya is now set to sign a new long-term contract at Arsenal football club as he aims to help his team in their charge for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League trophies.
