Liverpool predicted team vs Toulouse: Jürgen Klopp should return to his trusted cup line-up in the Europa League, ringing the changes and handing Curtis Jones a start.

With two wins on the board, Liverpool is in an excellent position in Europa League Group E. Results elsewhere mean that a victory over Toulouse on Thursday evening will put the Reds at least five points clear of the other three teams, no matter what happens when Union SG host LASK.
As such, Jürgen Klopp may elect to pick a relatively strong side in the hope of taking a sizeable stride to ensuring Liverpool tops the group. While he gave opportunities to fringe players in the first two matches, the line-up remained fairly strong.
Caoimhín Kelleher was unfortunately injured for the visit of Union SG but should return here to give Alisson Becker the night off. Three quarters of the back four for both that match and the Carabao Cup win against Leicester were Ibrahima Konaté, Jarell Quansah and Kostas Tsimikas, and it would not be surprising to see that trio once again.

Those two games and the trip to LASK each saw a different right-back deployed by Klopp, with Stefan Bajčetić, Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold each getting a run out. With Jones suspended for the visit of Nottingham Forest on Sunday he is certain to play here and slotting him into the back four would enable Liverpool to retain what appears to be its cup competition midfield.
Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endō and Ryan Gravenberch have started the three non-Premier League matches together and it’s easy to envisage Klopp sticking with those players here. The likeliest to miss out would be the latter as he has yet to start successive matches for Liverpool and has played his way into contention to start the next league match.

Liverpool’s home shirt for the 2023/2024 campaign pays homage to Bill Shankly and the legendary Reds manager’s final season in charge at Anfield. The Nike shirt features a bright red design with a bold white contrast on the colour and cuffs.
Up front, Ben Doak’s recent injury concern means Mohamed Salah probably starts here. Darwin Núñez will surely join him, having not been in the XI against Everton, but who takes the berth on the left?
As he started and scored in the last two cup matches, it would not be a surprise to see Diogo Jota included against Toulouse. If Cody Gakpo is fit for selection then Klopp will want to give him some minutes, but a second half cameo is the far likelier outcome for the Dutchman.
Possible line-up vs. Toulouse: Kelleher; Jones, Konaté, Quansah, Tsimikas; Elliott, Endō, Gravenberch; Salah, Núñez, Jota.
