ROUND-UPInternationals: Conor Bradley leads Northern Ireland to huge win on Tuesday
Conor Bradley captained Northern Ireland to a 5-0 victory over Bulgaria on Tuesday night – read our latest international round-up involving Liverpool players.
Bradley again wore the armband for his country, having done so for the first time last weekend, and the full-back went on to play the full match in Belfast as the home side delivered an emphatic UEFA Nations League win.
Elsewhere, Andy Robertson skippered Scotland – for whom Ben Doak was also involved for 67 minutes – in a 0-0 draw against Portugal at Hampden Park, also in the Nations League.
Reds teammate Diogo Jota was in opposition and featured for a little over an hour for the visitors, meanwhile.
In U21 European Championship qualifying, Jarell Quansah helped keep a clean sheet and Tyler Morton was a substitute in the second period in England’s 7-0 victory over Azerbaijan, which saw the Young Lions officially secure a spot at next summer’s tournament as group winners.
Calvin Ramsay – who is spending the campaign on loan at League One side Wigan Athletic – was an unused substitute for Scotland’s U21s in a 3-2 defeat by Kazakhstan also in qualifying action.
At U19 level, Amara Nallo completed the opening 45 minutes of England’s 4-2 friendly success versus France in Marbella, while Keyrol Figueroa was a second-half substitute for the USA in a 3-2 friendly win against Japan.
Trent Kone-Doherty recorded an assist as the Republic of Ireland U19s overcame Mexico 2-0, which saw them claim overall victory in a friendly tournament in Croatia.
And, in the Concacaf Nations League, Kyle Kelly started St. Kitts and Nevis’ 1-1 draw with the Cayman Islands, featuring for 57 minutes of the game.
