30m player admits he could see himself at Liverpool after being told they want to sign him

Liverpool are one of the most appealing clubs in world football for players to join, with the Reds having a history few can compete with.

The most titles won in English football history as well as the most UEFA Champions League wins out of any club in the United Kingdom, it’s easy to see why Liverpool has a certain appeal that few clubs in the world can have.

And after the Jurgen Klopp era of Liverpool, the Reds are now back amongst the elite of the sport, with the Anfield side currently top of the Premier League and looking like favourites to finish in the top-eight of the new Champions League league format.

And one player who has already faced Liverpool in Europe this season believes he is good enough to one day play for the Reds.

Dan Ndoye confident he can play for Liverpool after links

Speaking to Sky Sports Switzerland, Bologna winger Dan Ndoye boasted that he is confident in his abilities to play for a club like Liverpool, who are interested in signing the Swiss international.

With a reported asking price worth £30m according to the Manchester Evening News, Ndoye impressed at Anfield last week in Bologna’s 2-0 loss against Liverpool, with the Italian side giving a good account for themselves against the Premier League giants.

And when asked if he could picture himself playing for Liverpool, Ndoye was confident, with the winger saying: “I don’t put any barriers on myself! At school, when people told me it was impossible to become a professional footballer, I didn’t listen to anyone.

“In the end, that’s where I am today. Really, I will never put any barriers on myself. I work to play in my position in a world-class club because I know I have the ability.”
Liverpool can do a lot better than Ndoye despite his confidence

Ndoye is clearly a confident player who has starred for Bologna since joining last year in what was to be a historic year for the Italian side as Thiago Motta led the Serie A club to Champions League qualification for the first time since the 1960s.

Yet when you look into Ndoye’s actual numbers for Bologna, it becomes quickly apparent that Liverpool can do much better than the Swiss international, who has only managed two goals and three assists since moving last year.

Indeed, Ndoye has plenty of time ahead of him to find his goalscoring and assisting touch, but for now, Liverpool need to focus on attacking targets who could make an instant impact at Anfield if signed in 2025
Had everything gone to plan, Liverpool would be entering their tenth season under consecutive management this term.

The Reds had never expected to be in the position to have to replace Jurgen Klopp in 2024.

The former Liverpool manager was supposed to be in place at Anfield for at least two more years. Klopp should not have had to worry about finding himself a new work place for a little while yet.

But after the 57-year-old grew exhausted with the demands of the job at Liverpool, he has found himself out of work since the summer.

In the meantime, Liverpool have moved on brilliantly. While the sadness of Klopp’s premature exit does still linger, Arne Slot has done a superb job at stamping his mark on the Liverpool squad.
