The Borussia Dortmund star is a big name in the market, and several other sides could enter the chase if he was made available for a transfer. The Reds view him as a replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

Nico Schlotterbeck has steadily increased in stature over the last few seasons, especially since his move to Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
