Liverpool transfer news as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bruno Guimaraes linked and Levi Colwill and Piero Hincapie are supposedly back on the agenda before August 30 Deadline Liverpool transfer business is still yet to spark into life with only six days left to do deals before the August 30 deadline. With the Reds filling up the coffers through lucrative sales, an exciting late flurry of activity could still happen.

Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili looks the closest to sealing a move to Anfield. But there have also been some more outlandish rumors, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Raheem Sterling and Jarrad Branthwaite. Levi Colwill and Piero Hincapie are more realistic but even they would tough to get in at this point in the summer.

If any of those deals were genuinely pursued and went down to the wire, it could make for a deadline day for the ages. Whatever Liverpool has planned, it looks set to be a more action-packed end to the window than we are used to seeing.

With barely a week left to go, any planned transfer activity needs to be stepped up pretty much immediately. We’ll have you covered with all of the latest developments as they arrive.

Liverpool is reportedly ready to hijack Juventus’ deal for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners and holds a key advantage in the race.

According to TeamTalk, Atalanta would prefer selling the 26-year-old abroad, despite Juventus reportedly being in advanced talks to sign the midfielder.

However, the Turin-based outfit is yet to close an agreement as they want to pay the transfer fee in installments, yet Liverpool has the money to pay it all up front and could use its financial muscle to strike a deal.

As a follow-up to the news that Ademola Lookman will play no part for Atalanta this weekend, the Serie A club has also axed Teun Koopmeiners from Sunday’s matchday squad.

Liverpool has been strongly linked with a move for the Netherlands international, although it appears it may miss out on his signature to Juventus, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool considers striker swoop
Liverpool could be about to break the bank for a new striker before the transfer window closes next week, according to reports.

The Reds are being linked with a move for Lille forward Jonathan David and Caught Offside claims that Slot is a fan of the Canada international and wants to add him to his squad within the next few days.

Reds receive Eze boost
Liverpool has received a boost in its pursuit of Ebereche Eze ahead of the final week of the transfer window following reports that Tottenham is no longer in the running for his signature.

That’s according to a report by Football Insider, which claims that the North London club will not pursue the Crystal Palace attacker as it wants to prioritise other positions in the squad.

It’s added that Spurs is after central defense and central midfield options, making a last ditch attempt to sign the England international unlikely.

Rafa Benitez’s transfer admission
Former Liverpool manager Rafa Bentiez has opened up on why the Reds struggle to sign their top targets.

Arne Slot has already missed out on the likes of Leny Yoro and Martin Zubimendi this summer and Benitez believes attracting players to the club has always been an issue.

Speaking as a guest on Sky Sports’ The Overlap about his time at Anfield, he said: “For Liverpool, it was very difficult because the families of the players preferred to stay in London because of the airport, as well as Manchester.

“Liverpool was the third choice because of the size of the city, and they like to go shopping in London, I heard one wife talk to another wife!

“You also cannot pay the salaries. In terms of the city, I love Liverpool but if you go to London there’s the wives, families and all the people.”

Saudi Pro League ‘optimisitc’ over Salah
Mohamed Salah has attracted plenty of interest from Saudi Arabia over the last 12 months and Saudi Pro League chiefs are now saying they are “optimisitc” of signing him next summer.

The Egyptian has entered the final year of his contract at Anfield and will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season if he fails to agree on new terms with the Reds.

As a result, Saudi Pro League clubs are growing in confidence that they can lure the 32-year-old to the Middle East in 12 months time on a Bosman move, according to TEAMtalk.
